“Le Fontanelle” guesthouse is located in Poggio di Ancona, just 1 km from the path to Mezzavalle Beach and 3 km to Portonovo Bay. Its name is a tribute to the ancient freshwater fountains that flowed near the Portonovo crossroads along the old path to Ancona. This path was frequented by horse-drawn carriages, wayfarers, washerwomen and peasants who walked along it. It was a must stop for refreshment and watering the animals, but most of all to admire the wonderful view from this beautiful terrace overlooking the sea at Mezzavalle.
Currently, the Fontanelle are no longer visible, but the freshwater vein still flows by the sea at Mezzavalle.
Description
The guesthouse has just been renovated thanks to the intervention of a local designer, and is furnished with custom-made furniture made by local artisans.
It consists of 4 rooms, including 3 doubles and one triple, all with private bathrooms (with hairdryer and courtesy set), parquet floors, air conditioning, LCD TV, Wi-Fi Internet. Two rooms overlook a sea-view terrace, from which it is possible to catch a glimpse of Mezzavalle beach.
Information
A buffet breakfast is offered. For preparation, the guest is independent and can make their own arrangements. It is also rented for periods of less than one week, except for the month of August.
Children up to 2 years old free of charge.
Credit card payment is not available at this time.
The facility is fully fenced. Large private parking lot, accessible by remote control.
An apartment is also rented for the summer period.
